How It Works

This database was built by:

  1. OCR Extraction — Screenshot tweets from Twitter/X using Claude Sonnet vision
  2. Compound Identification — Parse tweet content to extract all mentioned compounds
  3. Information Synthesis — Aggregate all mentions into unified information sheets
  4. Markdown Generation — Create structured pages linking back to original sources

Data Structure

Each compound includes:

Information Sheet

  • What It Is — Definition, origin, classification
  • Mechanism of Action — How it works in the body/brain
  • Benefits & Effects — Claimed and discussed effects
  • Dosing & Usage — Recommended dosing and forms
  • Safety & Considerations — Risks, side effects, contraindications
  • Research & Sources — Referenced studies and papers

Tweet Mentions

Every mention is tracked with: - Author name / @handle - Source tweet file - Direct quote from the tweet - Full context accessible via source link

Methodology

  • Source: 98 biohacking tweets from Twitter/X
  • Extraction: Haiku/Sonnet vision models (Twitter UI aware)
  • Compounds Found: 154 unique substances
  • Mentions: 400+ tracked references
  • Categories: 5 main categories + miscellaneous

Updating the Database

To add new tweets to the database:

/ingest-compounds /path/to/new/images

This will: 1. OCR new tweet screenshots 2. Extract compounds 3. Update the database 4. Regenerate all pages
