Dec 2, 2025 tweet about nasal spray administration technique
you're probably wasting your nasal sprays (like bromantane and semax) due to poor administration.
- lean forward
- aim towards ear
- shake before each spray
- cover the other nostril
- normal breath in as you spray
- big snort as if you just did a fat line of colombian
guaranteed doubled efficacy if you follow these steps.

B TIER: semax: peptide nootropic elevating focus, reducing anxiety while maintaining cognitive drive through neuroprotective mechanisms
Anyone tried ACD856, TAK-653 or BPN14770?
ACD856 (Trk/BDNF positive allosteric modulator): ~10mg/day, user reported tripled motivation/mood, reduced rumination/anxiety, lightness and focus; effects faded toward subtle after ~a month; cycle it. Source: Everychem.
TAK-653 (AMPA modulator): used for weeks, zero side effects, better mood and focus especially stacked with Semax and Bromantane; good non-stimulant ADHD option; timing not critical.
BPN14770 (PDE4D inhibitor): ~40-90mg once or twice daily, no insomnia/stimulant feel, but no clear recall/memory benefit vs racetams for one user.
Compounds: ACD856, TAK-653, BPN14770, Semax, Bromantane

I've been using the 2 strongest cognitive-enhancing peptides on the planet so you don't have to
1. P21
It's so powerful that it boosts neurogenesis in Alzheimer's brains above that of normal controls
It's a derivative of Ciliary Neurotrophic Factor (CNTF) and was developed by reverse-engineering the magic behind Cerebrolysin
(Cerebrolysin is the #1 nootropic tool of all-time)
- Unlocks peak neurogenesis (inhibits LIF)
- Potently turbocharges BDNF expression
- Best peptide for repairing brain damage
- Strong anti-Alzheimer's effect (in rats)
Here's what I noticed with P21 so far:
- Initial brain fog due to neurogenesis
- Impressive mental clarity after that
- Reduces "tip of the tongue" moments
- Next-level verbal acuity
2. Adamax
Adamax is the most potent derivative of Semax
(The time-tested nootropic peptide that's been used in Russia for 40 years)
It's essentially N-Acetyl Semax with an adamantane moiety attached
The "N-Acetyl" enhances BBB penetration while the adamantane modification increases its half-life & potency
- Melanocortin receptor modulator
- Boosts neurogenesis via BDNF & NGF
- Upregulates BDNF's receptor (TrkB)
- Best for acute cognitive enhancement
Here's what I noticed with Adamax so far:
- Noticeably reduces procrastination
- Great for tweet ideation & writing
- Makes stimulants stronger
- Colors are more vivid
Important note- both are relatively experimental tools and should be used with caution
TLDR?
P21 = Heavy duty brain repair
Adamax = Heavy duty acute nootropic
[reply] 2 nasal sprays in morning, have done up to 4
[reply] Highly recommend checking this paper out on P21

You shouldnt use semax for cognition, at all.
People love to mention its effect on BDNF for plasticity but there are a hundred things that are better than semax that still affect BDNF.
Good news: there is A TON of better shit waiting on you.
> NSI-189
> J-147
> BPN14770
> Eutropoflavin
> Bryostatin-1
> Cerebrolysin
> Safinamide
> ACD856
Even naturals like resveratrol and rhodolia rosea would overall, looking at the bigger picture and not solely BDNF, be better than semax.
Studies on semax saw no increase in dopamine on its own, but did see potentiated dopamine release when semax was combined with d-amphetamine. Which is where it potentially could be used.
Not to mention the dosage it should be taken at for its BDNF effects are around 500-2500mg intranasally which is probably way above what you are currently taking it.
Here's my bottom line; if you like semax, good.
There are SO MANY nootropics that can largely do what it does and much more than that, so you have a ton of amazing options to pick from.
[reply] It heavily potentiates the dopamine response.
Compounds: Semax, NSI-189, J-147, BPN14770, Eutropoflavin, Bryostatin-1, Cerebrolysin, Safinamide, ACD856, Resveratrol, Rhodiola rosea, d-amphetamine
