Why I don't adhere to extreme diets? Because I believe we retain fat due to "inflammation"- 60 days of 1 capsule of SOD and S Boulardii for adults with 30-35 BMI in a small but good human trial helped with:

-Decreased body weight
-Reduced body fat mass
-Maintained muscle mass
-Lower fasting insulin
-Improved insulin sensitivity (lower HOMA-IR)
-Decreased uric acid levels
-Increased vitamin D levels
-Reduced leptin
-Reduced TNF-alpha
-Reduced oxidative stress (lower MDA, higher SOD activity)

This is just an example of what can happen when you address inflammation. Might not work for most, but if it makes one weaker, SOD helps balance inflammation/histamine and S Boulardii is a fruit probiotic with binding and antimicrobial effects.

If you look at a lot of the cases of H. pylori and its link to cancer

It's less about the bacteria being the direct cause of the cancer and more so about what it's doing to your endogenous antioxidants like SOD and glutathione
(It depletes glutathione)

For context, it shifts your redox environment toward oxidative damage.

And this is what likely contributes to carcinogenesis through DNA injury, lipid peroxidation, and impaired antioxidant defenses

And the evidence is there.

Both human and cell studies show lower glutathione in infected gastric tissue, alongside altered an SOD/catalase activity and higher oxidative stress markers

The sooner you understand the delicate balance between oxidative stress and antioxidants, the better

It's a seesaw.
